This beautiful rare watch is one of the most rarest Patek watches in the market.

A similar watch sold at a 2008 Christies Auction $276,367.00 US.

Reference 1579, introduced into the market in 1943, takes a unique position in the production of chronographs at Patek Philippe, as it is not only one of the largest models with a diameter of 36 mm. but also the only one with facetted lugs.

This watch features a high grade movement no. 868'219, case no. 668'581, manufactured in 1951.

The cal. 13''' nickel-finished lever movement stamped twice with the Geneva seal, 23 jewels.

The silvered matte dial with applied pink gold square-shaped and Arabic numerals, pink gold feuille hands, outer Arabic five minute divisions and tachymeter scale, two subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds and 30 minutes registers, in large circular case with down turned angular or "spider" lugs, snap on back, pink 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle, case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by maker.

The case measures 36mm.
